Meet the team

Amy Slatem

Illustrator ✦ designer ✦ fan of dogs

I’m a Sydney-based, South African illustrator and designer specialising in hand-drawn illustration and design for brands. With the current oversaturation of generic design, overused stock graphics and sterile AI-generated images, my creative approach focuses on infusing an authentic, much-needed human touch through custom illustration and branding so my clients can attract the right audience and grow their business with confidence.

Quick facts:
Has always loved to draw (like a lot, a lot).
Believes toilet paper should always roll over, never under.
Bliss is a cold beer in summer.

Pippa the frenchie

Four-legged secretary ✦ biscuit connoisseur ✦ not a pug

Well known for her impressive people skills and tricks (of the trade), Pippa can often be caught napping on the job, and because she’s terrible at answering the phone too, it’s best to get in contact with us directly here.

Quick facts:
Big people’s person.
Knows a few tricks, surprisingly…
Has big ears for someone who doesn’t listen.
Will work for biscuits (her words, not mine).

My promise to you

As a multi-skilled studio of one (and a half), working with me means you’ll be getting that one-on-one attention, personal commitment, and investment, not only in your project but also in your business.

From the brainstorming and research, right through to the final, can’t-contain-yourself-with-the-excitement product ready for launch, I’ll be there cheering you on! Your success is my success.

Together, we’ll work on bringing everything together to build a consistent and authentic visual brand and illustrations you can feel confident about, even as it grows after our time together.

Illustrated hands giving a hi 5

What I love about what I do:

  • Helping business owners discover things about their business and brand during the process and seeing how proud they are with the end product.

  • Watching a project develop from rough sketches through to the final product, and then seeing it out in the real world.

  • Having the opportunity to be creative and look at beautiful things every day.

  • Being able to work with my dog snoring next to me (ok, maybe not the snoring part).

Things I love:

  • Choosing wine based on its label

  • The smell of a new book

  • Travelling and art journaling along the way

  • Drawing and collecting art supplies (can you ever have enough?)

  • When ‘stationery’ is spelled correctly

  • Keeping my many indoor plants alive (not to say I’m awfully successful at it)

Kind words

Want to work together?
I’d love to hear from you.
